Authorities are continuing their investigation as community members seek answers and justice for the young life lost too soon.

Warrenville in Mourning: 75-Year-Old Man Arrested in Tragic Hit-and-Run Case

It’s been a somber few days in Warrenville, South Carolina, as the community grapples with the heartbreaking loss of 14-year-old Faith Williams. On February 28, 2025, Faith tragically lost her life after a dirt bike accident that has now spiraled into a complex legal situation. The events leading to her untimely death have taken a shocking turn with the arrest of 75-year-old Terry Sizemore from Gloverville.

What Happened?

On that fateful evening, around 6:20 PM, Faith was riding her dirt bike when she collided with a mailbox in the 1600 block of Augusta Road. It was a typical jaunt for the young rider, who wasn’t injured in the initial crash. However, the real tragedy struck when an unknown vehicle is believed to have hit Faith after the mailbox collision, resulting in her death. The details are still unclear, and an autopsy is expected to shed light on whether her passing was caused by the mailbox incident or the following hit-and-run.

The Arrest

Just after midnight on March 3, Terry Sizemore voluntarily turned himself into the Aiken County Sheriff’s office. Authorities have charged him with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death, a serious felony that could bring about 1 to 25 years in prison, along with a hefty fine ranging from $10,000 to $25,000. Sizemore has since been booked into the Aiken County detention center.

The Bond and Legal Proceedings

Following his arrest, an Aiken County magistrate set a $25,000 surety bond for Sizemore. As of now, there are no scheduled court dates, and the investigation is ongoing. Inquiries are still being made regarding the unknown vehicle that left the scene, which may have sustained damage, particularly on the front passenger side. Community members are encouraged to share any information that could assist law enforcement in piecing together the events of that evening.

A Community in Shock

The loss of Faith Williams has sent waves of sorrow through Warrenville. The tragic circumstances surrounding her death have everyone talking. From family and friends to fellow students, the community is mourning the loss of a promising young girl. The local Aiken County Coroner, Darryl Ables, is involved in the investigation, ensuring that the truth behind Faith’s tragic accident comes to light.

Alarming Traffic Statistics

This incident adds to the growing concern about traffic safety in South Carolina. As of February 23, 2025, there have been at least 92 reported traffic deaths across the state. Just last year, Aiken County alone recorded 28 traffic-related fatalities, a staggering number for such a tight-knit community. Unfortunately, Faith’s incident marks the fourth traffic death recorded in Aiken County in 2025.

How Can You Help?

With a community so shaken by this event, it’s essential for anyone with information regarding the incident or a possible description of the unknown vehicle to come forward. Every small piece of information may prove crucial in bringing justice to Faith’s family.

As Warrenville continues to mourn the loss of a cherished young life, community members are coming together to support one another during this difficult time. The hope is that through solidarity and collaboration with law enforcement, much-needed answers will emerge in the days to come.
