Aiken Regional Medical Centers is a 273-bed acute care facility in Aiken, South Carolina that provides emergency, oncology, and internal medicine services. It’s located on University Parkway near the University of South Carolina Aiken. The hospital opened in 1917 as the Aiken Hospital and Relief Society and has been at its current location since 1976.

Aiken Regional has been ranked a top hospital in South Carolina by the Carolina Center for Medical Excellence for its treatment of heart attack, heart failure, and pneumonia. In 2023, U.S. News & World Report named Aiken Regional a High Performing hospital for Heart Failure and Stroke, the highest award a hospital can earn for their Best Hospitals Procedures and Conditions ratings.

Aiken Regional is a Level IV Trauma Center, which means it can provide advanced trauma life support, including evaluation, stabilization, and diagnostic capabilities for injured patients. 

Aiken Regional is owned and operated by Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS), a King of Prussia, Pennsylvania-based company that is one of the largest private healthcare management companies in the United States.
